Stories of Hope

Behind every great production are real people experiencing real successes, and real struggles.

While audiences see polished films and television shows, working behind the scenes in the entertainment industry often comes with intense pressure, long hours, and personal challenges.

To ensure no worker feels isolated, the Call Time Mental Health Podcast is back for its third season, built around an inspiring and essential focus: Stories of Hope.

Supported by British Columbia’s six film unions, the Calltime Mental Health Awareness Campaign continues its dedicated mission to foster well-being across all areas of production. This season’s theme, Stories of Hope, provides an open invitation for industry workers to come together in community, share lived experiences, and build a safer, more supportive working environment. At its core, the series highlights how creating and sharing media can connect us and promote genuine healing.

Season three takes a meaningful look back while driving the mental health conversation forward. Listeners will hear from motion picture crew members, including those who helped create the landmark Calltime public service announcement a decade ago.

By reconnecting with these familiar voices, the podcast explores how far the community has come, the lessons learned along the way, and why lifting up everyone in your workspace is the single best way forward for the entire industry.

Throughout the new season, episodes dive deeply into vital topics such as mental health awareness, recovery, personal resilience, and what it truly takes to thrive in today's screen sector. These discussions offer crucial encouragement for individuals seeking proper treatment and tailored support programs that fit their specific needs.

Crucially, the trailer delivers a simple yet powerful reminder to everyone in the industry: whether you are working in pre-production, pulling long hours on set, or editing in post-production, you are not alone. Because you never truly know what a colleague or crew member might be going through behind the scenes, creating a culture of kindness and checking in on one another can make all the difference.

It is time to start the conversation and support the people who bring our favorite stories to life.
